Hi, I’m Jon Maestas. I live in Wright City, Missouri with my wife, Kristin, and our three daughters. They play softball, basketball, soccer, and gymnastics, and I still coach them in the sports they play today (even when I don’t fully know what I’m doing).
I built Player 1 so they, and families like ours, could get better at what they love between practices and lessons. Something in my pocket that actually looks at their rep, not a random YouTube tip that may or may not apply.
And it’s not just for kids. I use it on my own golf game too: drivers, irons, and chip shots. Same app, same phone camera, whether it’s a backyard soccer rep or a range session.
In high school I played baseball, basketball, and football. I earned a baseball scholarship to Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, and that’s where I met Kristin. Sports have always been part of our life. This app is that background, plus a lot of evenings as a parent-coach, put into something other families can use.
There’s no anonymous shadow company here. When you use Player 1, you’re using a tool built by a dad who still stands on the sideline with a phone, trying to help his kids get one more good rep in.
